 October 30, 1983 - The Day Before Halloween

TRUE STORY

At this moment, everything was fine in the United-States, every States was preparing itself to party Halloween. Children were looking forward to knocking at doors dressed as monsters. Anyway, everything was as usual... Till people from New Jersey turned on their radios. But the air was taken by an anxious voice saying a huge metorite just smashed into a New Jersey farm.  " New York was under attack by Martians... " Every inhabitants suddenly started calling the police in order to be safe, everyone felt like the world was ending, everyone was shacking with fear, everyone felt overwhelmed, everyone thought apocalypse was coming...

But It wasn't. It was actually a hoax ! The message their heard was an adaptation by Orson Welles's Mercury Theater group, of a science fiction novel written 40 years earlier : The War Of The World, by HG Wells. It was performed to sound like a real news broadcast about an invasion from Mars. 

 FUNNY ! Isnt it ? I think this man has good ideas !
